Increased corrosion resistance of BIERI valves
Our execution status is standardised: in the coming months we will be replacing all parts with black passivation with stainless steel.
BIERI is standardising the design revision and will change all parts with black passivated surface protection to stainless steel in the coming months.
The standardisation with stainless steel has already been introduced with the newer products such as the WVH-6i, WVM-6I and DB700 with positive experiences. For all 1000 bar products and for specific exceptions, zinc/nickel corrosion protection is used instead of stainless steel.
Please note that delivered products may differ visually from previous deliveries (colour change from black to silver). The change to stainless steel gives BIERI the opportunity to significantly increase corrosion protection.
You can recognise the stainless steel version by the upgraded index, whereby the material number remains unchanged.
BIERI aims to have fully completed the changes by the 30th June 2025.
